Feinberg to perform at Peach Festival this summer

WILBRAHAM Julia Grace Feinberg will be performing as a vocalist at the Wilbraham Peach Festival in the Children's Tent on Aug. 16, 3:30-4 p.m.

Julia was an honor student at the Soule Road School in Wilbraham where she performed in the chorus and played flute in the school band, advanced band and jazz band. She also performed as guest vocalist with the elementary jazz band and was a regular performer at the Souleto Arts Festival. She will be attending Wilbraham Middle School this Fall.

Julia studies voice with Janet Ryan at the Community Music School of Springfield, dance at the Dance Company, has studied theater at the Drama Studio and performs with the Hampden Theater Guild Youth Theater. She also attends the Dan Kane Singers' Summer Enrichment Program in Westfield.

Performance highlights for Julia include vocal performances at City Stage, performing the National Anthem at The MassMutual Center for the Springfield Falcons as well as for the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament and performances in Hampden Theater Guild productions of "Grease" and "Music Man." Julia will assume the role of Gloria Thorpe in the Theater Guild's upcoming production of "Damn Yankees." Julia also performs with the youth choir of the St. Cecelia parish of Wilbraham.

Julia's CD, "Come to Me," was released in April 2008. Her seven song CD was produced by renowned R&B artist and music educator, Janet Ryan, and provides the ideal medium to demonstrate the depth, breadth and maturity of Julia's vocal ability and style.
