The fundraiser also has given the foundation more exposure throughout the community. The foundation has a 50-year tradition of granting scholarships to deserving high school seniors from Hampden and Wilbraham."
The Minnechaug Scholarship Foundation is a charitable trust founded in 1960 that encourages and enables students to continue their education beyond high school. The foundation raises funds and distributes financial aid to high school graduates who reside in Hampden or Wilbraham. Last year the foundation awarded $34,200 to 48 college bound students.
