Police seek assistance in Boston Road robbery case

WILBRAHAM -- The Wilbraham Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Convenience Plus, 2821 Boston Rd., on Jan. 5. Wilbraham police received a 911 call from the clerk, reporting the robbery at 6:29 p.m. Investigation revealed a lone male, described to be a white male, 5'8" to 6'0" tall, wearing a zippered grayish hoodie sweatshirt, entered the store and demanded cash. No weapon was shown.

The suspect realized an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled on foot. Officers and the Wilbraham police K-9 followed a trail to an area of an adjacent side street, where it is believed a get-away car was located. Ludlow Police assisted at the scene.

An investigation is underway. Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact Wilbraham Police at 596-3837. The robbery is being investigated by Officers Thomas Korzec and Shawn Baldwin.
