Principal invites parents, residents to open house

~ Submitted by Principal M. Martin O'Shea, Minnechaug Regional High School

WILBRAHAM Minnechaug's Open House provide parents, guardians, and townspeople with the opportunity to visit our school, meet our teachers, and become familiar with the myriad of course offerings and activities available to students.

Minnechaug hosts two open houses annually, one each semester. This aligns well with our four-by-four semester format which offers most students four different classes each semester. (A few classes, such as performing music groups, meet every other day all year.) This first semester open house will showcase our students' first semester classes.

Parents will visit all of their sons'/daughters' Semester 1 classes. Be sure to bring your student's schedule so that you know the specific rooms and teachers you will be visiting.

Non-parent townspeople may visit classes of their interest. A handout will be provided indicating the general areas of the building containing specific academic departments.

Special programs and activities such as the School Store, Guidance Department, Media Center, Bake Sale, Gymnasium, Booster Club and other events will be presented.

All will be outlined on a Special Program Menu you will receive the evening of Open House.

We hope this format will provide an interesting and informative evening for parents. Visit MRHS on Sept. 8 at 7-8:30 p.m.
