Library to begin 'The Socrates Cafe' on May 16

AGAWAM Does the brain feel a little foggy lately? Have you got a touch of Spring fever? Perhaps it is time for a spirited philosophical discussion. The Socrates Caf will meet on May 16 at the Agawam Public Library from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Peirce Conference Room.

Socrates Caf is a return to a very old type of conversation where a group of people get together for a couple of hours and with the help of a facilitator, apply the Socratic method to some question that intrigues them. What is truth? What is evil? What is justice? Participants propose and choose the questions. Questions that work best are those with no right or wrong answers. We will discuss questions that provide room to explore possibilities and meanings.

Everyone is welcome to attend. For further information, call 786-7684.
