BELCHERTOWN – The Belchertown Fair and Parade Committee is looking for help from artistic community members.
For the first time, the Fair Committee will be opening a logo contest for this year’s fair according to Belchertown Fair committee member Shawn Lindholm.
“This is a great way of getting the community more involved in the process. We thought it would be fun because there are so many artistic members in the community,” Lindholm added.
The committee is looking for a logo to represent this year’s Belchertown Fair theme which is “Blue Jeans and Fair Dreams.”
The artwork should be created using Adobe Illustrator, in color, with a minimum 300 dpi. The text “164th Belchertown Fair; September 22-24, 2023; Blue Jeans and Fair Dreams” can be included on the logo but are not required.
The winning artist will receive recognition and $50 as a “token of our appreciation,” Lindholm said.
The winning logo will be displayed on everything associated with the fair like the exhibit hall handbook, volunteer bags, and apparel.
There are no age limits to enter, and the annual youth poster contest will be hosted later in the year.
The logos will be judged by the Fair Committee and Lindholm added “We are looking for something fun but probably shouldn’t be too detailed because that could make it harder to print. We are excited to see the community get involved and what they come up with.”
If residents have questions or would like to submit a logo, they can email belchertownfair@gamil.com by Feb. 20.
