EASTHAMPTON – On July 22, a swearing in ceremony was conducted at the Public Safety Complex in Easthampton to officially promote Captain Matt Sandler as the new training officer of the Easthampton Fire Department (EFD). This is the first time in the history of the EFD that there is a dedicated full-time training officer to coordinate, develop and deliver both fire and EMS training to all personnel. During the ceremony, three firefighters were officially sworn in to the EFD. Those three firefighters are Brennan Struthers, Kevin Truong and Rich Gallo.
