Date: 11/21/2022

EASTHAMPTON – The city of Easthampton started Veteran’s Day ceremonies at the American Legion Post 224 before a delegation from VFW Post 3422 proceeded to the Town Hall Civil War Monument for prayer and laying of a memorial wreath, rifle salute and the playing of Taps. The delegation then moved to the Brookside Cemetery Veterans Moument for a repeat of the same ceremony. One last ceremony was put on by the delegation at the monuments outside of the Emily Williston Memorial Library. Following those ceremonies, residents and veterans gathered back at the American Legion for guest speakers, award presentations, performances by the Easthampton High School Band and some comments from state Rep. Dan Carey.
