Easthampton Police Association spearheads telemarketing fundraiser

Date: 11/7/2022

EASTHAMPTON – The Easthampton Police Association is once again hosting their telemarketing fund drive to provide financial assistance to numerous different organizations and initiatives.

According to Easthampton Police Lt. Dennis Scribner, the fundraiser, which is spearheaded by the Police Association’s E-Board, has been going on since 1999. TCI America, Inc. from Seekonk, MA. is contracted by the association to handle the fund drive, since the association cannot directly solicit funds.

“TCI coordinates the telephone calls and makes arrangements for their driver to pick up donations locally,” Scribner told Reminder Publishing. “[We prefer] checks or money orders…no cash.”

According to Scribner, if people do not prefer to have a donation pickup at their home, they can drop off a donation at the city’s Public Safety Complex or mail it to the Easthampton Police Department.

“Funds raised during this drive help us give back to our community and provide financial assistance to numerous initiatives and organizations, with emphasis on youth activities and sports throughout the city,” said Scribner. “Not all of the donations are limited to city initiatives.”

Outside of city organizations and events like Easthampton Youth Baseball and the Easthampton Rag Shag Parade, the funds also go to a myriad of other city and regional initiatives. A full list of donation recipients can be found on the Easthampton Police Department Facebook page.
