Pleasantrees opens in Easthampton

EASTHAMPTON – A ribbon cutting was conducted at Pleasantrees, the new recreational marijuana dispensary located on 195 Northampton St. in Easthampton, on July 28. Pleasantrees was founded in Michigan, and the Easthampton location is the third national retail store opened by the company. Mayor Nicole LaChapelle was in attendance to spearhead the ribbon cutting, while live music from Nate Martel Music occurred from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day. Glass blowing by Juggernaut Glass was also present from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as well as a food truck from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to their website, business hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pleasantrees plans to open two additional locations in Amherst and Greenfield. The Amherst location should be open by fall of 2021. A 110,000-square-foot cultivation facility is also planned for Holyoke.
