Residential multi-services living facility scheduled to open in 2022

Date: 8/25/2021

ENFIELD, CT – Kaplan Development Group, LLC, an owner/ operator of independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. are constructing their All-American Assisted Living Facility on 118 Hazard Ave.

Kaplan Development Group has been in the industry since 2001 founded by CEO Glenn Kaplan. They have two main brands, Bentley Assisted Living and All-American Assisted Living. The All-American Assisted Living Facility is a 56,000 gross square foot building with two stories, comprised of 45 assisted living units and 13 memory care units totaling 112 beds. Each unit, with an exception of four studios, are companion suite units.

Ben Wells, the president of Business Development at Kaplan Development Group told Reminder Publishing, “What makes the All-American different from other assisted living facilities is that we’re able to provide a building that's a five-star quality at a cheaper cost per square foot and we're able to pass it on to the resident or resident's families.”

He continued, “The All-American prototype has two different concepts: there's a wood frame and a steel frame depending on the construction code. In Connecticut, we were able to do wood frame construction. As far as the building goes, it's 55,000 square feet and some amenities include a media room, bistro and dining room, activities room, therapy room, salon and barber shop, private dining room and more.”

Wells told Reminder Publishing they started this concept on the tail end of the economic downturn back in 2010. At that point, he said, they hesitated on doing new construction for a while and reassessed the need for a more affordable product and the large demand for seniors that were turning 65 or older. “We started building in Massachusetts and did very well, one building lead to 10 All American communities currently, Enfield being our 11th,” Wells responded.

The building is scheduled to be open in July of 2022 and they will be opening their doors to residents by mid-August of 2022.
