Selectboard approves National Grid work and fees

GRANBY – The Selectboard approved National Grid’s installation of two poles and two sub poles and anchors on Pleasant Street at their Dec. 14 meeting.

The poles will start at a point approximately 137 feet southeast of the centerline of the intersection of West State Street and approximately 126 feet in a southeast direction. The sub poles and anchors support re-conducted poles.

The board proceeded with the next agenda of approving a single tax rate for Fiscal Year 2021. The proposed rate was $19.87, which is pending approval from the Department of Revenue. The Selectboard also approved a motion regarding departmental reports.

Then the board reviewed the water main letter that Town Administrator Christopher Martin wrote on behalf of the list of properties that want to connect to the proposed line. They approved the letter to Senator Eric Lesser and Representatives Daniel Carey and Mindy Domb as amended.

Lastly, the Board made a motion to approve the Sewer Fee warrant #21-01.

At the end of the meeting, Chair Glen N. Sexton shared a greeting to the public till the Board meet again on Jan. 4, 2021.

“I just want to take a minute on behalf of the Board to wish everybody a happy, healthy and safe holiday and Christmas and we’ll see you next year,” he said.
