GRANBY – The Selectboard began the new year with their first meeting on Jan. 4. They made a motion to approve and sign six maintenance warrants.
The warrents included the following:
• Pay Roll Warrant 36, dated Dec. 11, 2020 in the amount of $507,231.91
• Pay Roll Warrant 37, dated Dec. 11, 2020 in the amount of $231,527.56
• Bill Paying Warrant 38, dated Dec. 18, 2020 in the amount of $364,423.81
• Pay Roll Warrant 39, dated Dec. 23, 2020 in the amount of $429,825.48
• Pay Roll Maintenance Warrant 40, dated Dec.23, 2020 in the amount of $360,893.88.
• Bill Paying Warrant 41, dated Dec. 31, 2020 in the amount of $193,541.17.
They then approved 11 victualler licenses for Granby Pharmacy Inc, Five Corner Cuts LLC, Dave’s Natural Garden, Dickinson Farm, and Dickinson Farm and Greenhouse with a fee of $25. Something Special Catering Service, theSubway at 47 West State St., the Dunkin Donuts at 77 West State St., Little Italy Pizzeria, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Granby Junior Senior High School Booster Club were also awarded licenses. The licenses will expire on Dec. 31, 2021.
Due to the circumstances of COVID-19, the board made a motion to wave the $25 fee to Something Special Catering Service, Subway, Dunkin Donuts and Little Italy Pizzeria.
Town Administrator Christopher Martin requested the board to wave the $25 fee for the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Granby Junior Senior High School Booster Club because they’re both non-profit organizations in the town of Granby.
The Selectboard also approved an entertainment license for the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church to provide entertainment for a live band and DJs for events. This license will expire on Dec. 31, 2021 for a fee of $50 that Martin requested be waved as well, given they are non-profit organization.
Towards the end of the meeting, the board approved Class I License for AllPowerw and Class III License for Granby Auto Salvage.
They made a motion to approve Class II License for AJ’s Auto Body as written with the agenda of 60 days to be approved by the Planning Board for the new site plan. A letter will be sent along with the license from the board saying they are approving the sale display of used cars, however the additional vehicles that the owner indicated on his site plan drawing needs to go in front of the Planning Board for review and approval.
