HOLLAND – On Nov. 2, state Sen. Ryan Fattman presented a $50,000 check to the town of Holland to be used for public safety.
The $50,000 was an earmark that Fattman secured through the state budget.
“As the incoming state senator for Holland, I was happy to support the town’s public safety needs through a budget earmark,” said Fattman. “I understand that the tax base and subsequent resources are limited so my office and I will always be happy to help in this way. The town has welcomed me warmly and I look forward to strengthening our relationship in the months and years ahead.”
Town Administrator Stacy Stout said, “As a town reliant on our residential tax base and with limited resources, supplemental funding is critical for us. We are very appreciative of the funds Fattman was able to earmark for Holland for use toward public safety needs.”
She continued, “Since the redistricting announcement, Fattman and his team have made great effort in getting to know Holland and we are happy to see that the involvement and support we’ve received while in state Sen. [Anne] Gobi’s district will continue under [state] Sen. Fattman’s leadership.”
