HOLLAND – Nearly one month after the Holland Annual Town Election, results have been finalized.
In a close race, Ernest Fancy was elected to a three-year term on the Selectboard after receiving 120 votes. Challenger Cari Kay Robertson fell short behind with 114 votes.
Incumbent Diane Rhodes-Gregoire received 159 votes and was re-elected to a three-year term as assessor. Fancy was defeated with 80 votes.
Kyle Merolla ran unopposed and was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Health.
Merolla was also elected to the Cemetery Commission and measurer of wood and bark. Both positions are three-year terms.
Robert J. Parron ran unopposed and was elected to a three-year term as constable.
Brian Johnson also ran unopposed and was elected to a three-year term as highway surveyor.
Incumbent Sarah Naples beat out challenger Lawrence Mandell to a three-year term on the School Committee. Naples received 147 votes and Mandell received 79 votes.
Shannon Horn-Eldred was elected to a three-year term as library trustee.
Incumbent William Hardy was re-elected to a three-year term as moderator with 140 votes over William Robertson who received 92 votes.
Parron and Robertson were both elected to the Planning Board. Parron will serve a five-year term and Robertson will serve a two-year term.
With 141 votes, Valerie Lundin was elected to a three-year term as town clerk over incumbent Jennifer Mott who received 91 votes.
Scott Gendreau and Parron were elected as water commissioners. Gendreau will serve a one-year term and Parron will serve a three-year term.
The June 14 ballot also had one question for voters which read: “Shall the town vote to have its elected treasurer and elected tax collector to become an appointed treasurer/collector of the town?”
The results showed that 118 residents voted no, 112 residents voted yes.
A total of 249 voters cast their election ballots of the 2,136 registered voters in town.
