HOLLAND – With limited time and options to use remaining funds from fiscal year 2019 (FY19) and FY20, the Holland Select Board voted to approve one portion of the money during their July 26 meeting.
Stacy Stout, town administrator, shared that the town was notified about a deal with the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC). “Their domestic violence program advocate has left and they are not replacing her so there’s no one to run the program,” she said. “This is impacting us for our FY19 and FY20 grant.”
In FY19, the town’s remaining funds are $3,390.03. Stout said the PVPC is recommending that they transfer these funds to the Food Pantry Program in Wales. “We have to spend that money relatively soon – before the end of the year for sure,” noted Stout.
She went on to say that the only other option with using this money is that they start another project.
When it came time to vote on the $3,390.03 to send to the Wales Food Pantry, the Select Board voted unanimously in favor.
Stout shared that for FY20, the town will have $15,000 in remaining funds. The board will be voting on how to use these funds in early September. Appointments
The Select Board unanimously approved Dawn Kamay’s reappointment to the Conservation Commission.
