SOUTHAMPTON — Edwards Public Library in Southampton is hosting a Halloween party on Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. for children of all ages and their families.
“We’re ready to kick off Halloween early,” said Andrea LeClair, the library’s youth librarian.
The event will feature a large Halloween backdrop for taking photos, decorating pumpkins, and a selection of fall and Halloween stories on display for the children to read and look through.
“I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s spooky and silly pumpkin creations,” said LeClair. “Those pumpkins have been generously donated by Fletcher Farm.”
Costumes are welcome but not required.
“Kids can preview their costumes at the library or wear one to our party and another out on Halloween night,” suggested LeClair.
The library does a Halloween event every year for the children and their families to enjoy. Other upcoming youth events at the library include StoryTime with Jessica on the morning of Oct. 25 and Hilltown Hikes for Families on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.
The party is a drop-in event, taking place in the youth department, so families can come and go as they please. Edwards Public Library is located at 30 East St. in Southampton. For more information, call the library at 413-527-9480.
