WESTHAMPTON – The Westhampton Town Hall and Town Hall Annex are officially back open to the public for business purposes.
According to Town Clerk Katrin Kaminsky, appointments are recommended for people who want to visit. Either calling or emailing the desired department is encouraged to schedule an appointment, as the town adjusts to their revised hours.
The town’s website also encourages residents to check department pages for hours of operation before visiting. Masks will be required when residents decide to visit indoors at either place.
The town administrator could not be reached for comment regarding other specifics on the reopening, but according to the website, the administrative assistant office is open by appointment from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The address is 1 South Rd. in the Margaret A. Parsons Room.
Meanwhile, the Town Clerk office will be open to the public, with appointments recommended, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Wednesday. Other hours throughout the week will be available by appointment, according to the Westhampton website.
Appointments are also now recommended for the Board of Assessors at the Town Hall Annex on 3 South Rd. on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other department hours can be found on the website.
During a June 14 Selectboard meeting, the town’s Board of Health recommended that all restrictions on municipal buildings be lifted except masks, unless working alone in an office space.
