Belle Fleur gives away turkeys to show Blandford community gratitude

Date: 12/1/2020

BLANDFORD – Domenico Cardarelli, CFO of Belle Fleur Holdings, a marijuana wholesale cultivation business looking to open in town, gathered with other principals of the company at the Blandford Fairgrounds on Nov. 23 to give away 216 pre-ordered turkeys to residents.

Cardarelli said that the group has signed a Host Community Agreement with Blandford, and wanted to do something to give back.

“It’s been a crazy year, 2020.  People are falling on hard times even more,” Cardarelli said, adding that giving away the turkeys was also a way to say thank you to the town, which he said has been great to work with.

The turkeys were ordered from Bob’s Turkey Farm in Lancaster. Cardarelli said the cannabis business is all about positivity, and this is one of the many ways they will be giving back.

Cardarelli said they are now waiting for a provisional license from the state and are working through permitting with the town.

The planned business will be an indoor and outdoor grow operation for the wholesale market in a business-to-business-only operation.

Also helping to match up the line of cars with the turkeys that were ordered were Belle Fleur CEO Rolandy Romelus and Kurt and Christine Hansen, owners of the property at 140 Otis Stage Road where Belle Fleur plans on locating its business on a 10-acre parcel.
