BLANDFORD — Every year, the Blandford Animal Hospital sponsors Pictures with Santa, inviting clients and any pet owners in the community to bring in their furry friends to pose with a pet-friendly Santa Claus.
“It’s amazing, we love doing it,” said Kelsey Motyl, receptionist and technician, whose dog Shadow took a turn with the jolly elf during this year’s event on Dec. 2.
Motyl said Shadow loved the sitting. “Shadow enjoyed sitting with Santa — it was the cutest thing ever. It’s a fun event for the community.”
Also waiting in line were receptionist Rhonda Partyka’s pooches Mushu, Asher, and Charlotte.
Photographer Amanda LaBrecque, whose mother works at the veterinary clinic where she also used to work, takes the high\-res photos for free, and emails them to the pet parents to do whatever they want with them.
The animal hospital also offers cookies and refreshments during the picture taking.
