HUNTINGTON – The Huntington Community Events Committee has announced that they will be holding three concerts for this year’s Summer Music Series on the Green, on July 30, Aug. 6 and Aug. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. by the gazebo at the intersection of Route 20 and Route 112.
“We are fortunate and grateful to be able to hold these concerts during this time,” said Vicki Mayhew in the announcement.
The concert series will begin on July 30 with The Brian and Vicky Show. The country music duo is composed of Brian Chicoine, a professional singer/songwriter from West Springfield and former lead of the Truck Stop Troubadours who says he studied at Honky Tonk university in Nashville, Tennessee; and French-Canadian singer/songwriter Vicky St. Pierre. St. Pierre, who is from a musical family, moved to Massachusetts in 2005, where she fell even more for the American Country music culture, travelling to Nashville enough times to know that she could live there.
The Brian and Vicky Show will delight with their acoustic set with a blend of country, Americana and rockabilly. Brian’s voice can transform from Johnny Cash to Waylon and Willie, and Vicky sings like June or Patsy, in English and French.
Upcoming shows include A Ray of Elvis on Aug. 6, and the Rock 201 Show on Aug. 13.
All attendees must follow social distancing protocol. Guests must wear masks when walking outside their seated area, and groups must be located six feet apart.
There will be no baked good sales this year and restrooms will not be available. Visitors are asked to allow parking around the town green for those who wish to stay in their cars and enjoy the show. Additional parking is behind town hall and Huntington Liquors.
All performances will be conducted virtually in case of rain. No pets are allowed.
The Huntington Summer Music Series is sponsored by the Huntington Community Events Committee and the Huntington Cultural Center.
