HUNTINGTON – The Jacob’s Ladder Business Association hosted its regular monthly meeting at the beautiful setting of The Retreat on Norwich Lake at 128 Norwich Lake Road on Sept. 9.
Sean Hudkins, site director, said the retreat is booked weekends through November, and will be open through the winter. More information is available at www.timothyhill.org/retreats.
During the business portion of the meeting, treasurer Elizabeth Massa shared her report, and talked about the new print edition of the JLBA Hilltown Destinations Map, Business Locator and Hiking Trailheads. Business listings are free to JLBA members, but the deadline to be listed on this year’s printed map is Sept. 20. After that, businesses will be added online. To sign up, businesses may go to JLBA.org and click on the red Add Listing button.
After members each shared what’s new with their businesses, president Emily Smith Lee talked about having a Hilltown Home Show to feature JLBA businesses during Chester on Track on May 21. Membership Director Michelle Kenney said JLBA will also be celebrating its 30th year as a hilltown business association in 2022.
The next JLBA meeting will be in person at High Hopes Sugar House in Worthington on Oct. 17. Anyone interested in learning more about JLBA is welcome to join them at 11 a.m. for the breakfast buffet, followed by the meeting at 12 p.m.
