JLBA seeks businesses for Chester on Track Home Show

Date: 3/30/2022

CHESTER – The first-ever Jacob’s Ladder Business Association Home Show is slated to open during the Chester on Track Festival on May 21, and JLBA member businesses and all others interested in marketing to the Hilltowns are encouraged to register for a 10 by 10 foot spaces in the outdoor open market that will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This is our first annual JLBA Hilltown Home Show, and it’s open to all businesses,” said JLBA Treasurer Elizabeth Massa. She said before the COVID-19 pandemic, as many as 4,000 visitors came to Chester on Track, which begins with a parade and traditionally draws the biggest crowd in town all year.

The Home Show will set up on the street side of the Historic Riverside Inn, on the river side, and across the street at the Pease building. Spaces are $25 for JLBA members, and $100 for non-members. Massa said non-member businesses that register for a space will automatically get all the digital perks of JLBA membership, including a free 2022 JLBA.org website business listing.

At the Home Show, businesses may provide information and advertise services, give samples, sell items, or anything else. The only fee is for the table space; however, Massa said JLBA is asking participating businesses to donate something that has to do with their business as a door prize.

Advance registration is required, and multiple spaces may be reserved. Registrations are due by May 7 to guarantee a space. JLBA does not provide power, water or rubbish services to vendors.
