JLBA to offer virtual speed networking event

Date: 4/14/2021

HILLTOWNS – The Jacob’s Ladder Business Association is hosting a virtual speed networking event on April 22, from 7 to 8 p.m. JLBA President Emily E. Smith-Lee of Hilltown Law in Chester said businesses joining the call will be put into small groups for 10 minutes at a time, for a chance to meet and talk to other business owners in the area.

“It’s an easy COVID-free way for businesses to get in front of each other, learn more about each other, and find ways to support each other,” Smith-Lee said.
Smith-Lee, an attorney with practices in Sharon and Chester, said she borrowed the idea from Business Networking International in Springfield and the Westfield Chamber of Commerce.

“I don’t take credit for the idea, I just want to bring it to the hilltowns,” she said, adding that she did a trial run with JLBA members recently. “People found it really useful and fun,” she said.

The virtual networking event is open to JLBA members and non-members. A link to register for the event may be found at: https://tinyurl.com/jlbanetworking.
