Pink WAY to host second Springtime Legends Show fundraiser

Date: 3/29/2023

LUDLOW — The Pink W.A.Y. — Women Around You — Foundation will host its second annual Springtime Legends Show on April 16.

The event will start at 3 p.m. at the Ludlow Country Club, 1 Tony Lema Dr., and will include food, drinks, dessert, raffles and entertainment.

There will be seven local artists who will impersonate and perform as well-known singers from different eras and genres to please everybody need.

Rick Larrimore as Rod Stewart, Jami D as Stevie Nicks, Robert Black as Elvis & Johnny Cash, Nicole Fuller as Lady Gaga, Charlie Lask as Neil Diamond, Amanda Rowe debuting as Shania Twain and it Takes Two with Amanda Rowe & Joseph Pereira.

Pink WAY Foundation founder Robyn Hersey added that all the performers have a background impersonating these singers.

Hersey added, “It overall is a great night out. There is something for everybody and I hope everybody comes out. Bringing all these local artists together and the amount of joy they bring to the crowd is great to experience.”

Tickets cost $40 a person or $75 for a couple and can be purchased either by messaging the Pink WAY Foundation at facebook.com/thepinkwayfoundation or at the door the day of the event.
Seating will be first come first serve and there will be no reserved tables.

Most of the money raised will go to the Pink WAY Foundation.

Hersey started the foundation to raise money to help women going through breast cancer treatment pay their bills, not to raise money for research or cover hospital bills.

Hersey, who is a breast cancer survivor herself, added that the foundation has helped women purchase wigs if insurance doesn’t cover the cost, buy groceries, covered electric bills, gas and helped with some of the traveling expenses for women who need out of state care.

Hersey said, “We’ve done so much for breast cancer patients in our area over the past 14 years.”

The Legends Show was such a success last year that Hersey is excited to see it come back.
Last year’s event saw 150 people take part and raise almost $3,000. Hersey is expecting that number to go up this year.

According to Hersey, there have been approximately 100 tickets sold to the event and remaining tickets are selling “pretty quickly.”

Her goal is to sell 250 tickets and see a sold out crowd the day of the event.
