MONSON — American Legion Post 241 hosted a Veterans Day Service on Nov. 11 in front of Memorial Hall in Monson. During the ceremony, Commander Carl Santos honored local veterans by placing a wreath at the town’s memorial. While this was the first year that American Legion Post 241 hosted a Veterans Day ceremony, Santos stated that the organization was looking to continue the tradition each year. Following the ceremony, all veterans were invited to American Legion Post 241, located on 143 Palmer Rd., for a complimentary meal at 1 p.m., Santos said.
