MONSON — The Monson Lions Club hosted its annual Halloween parade and costume contest on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The parade began at Monson Town Hall, proceeding down to Memorial Hall before entering for the costume contest. Members of the Quaboag Highlanders Pipes & Drums led the parade down Main Street while playing music. Participants followed behind the musical group.
Once inside Memorial Hall, contest participants were offered snacks, then divided into groups aged 0-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Over the course of the contest, each group was called up to the stage and members of the Monson Lions Club acted as judges to decide who won first place, second place, third place and best “do it yourself” costume.
