PALMER – A 6.85 percent voter turnout determined the results of the Palmer town election on June 14.
Town Clerk Susan Coache said there are 9,082 registered voters in town and only 623 cast their ballot.
With two councilor at large positions open, incumbent Mark Caci was elected to fill the two-year seat. He received a total of 278 votes. Falling close behind, challengers Lucas George McDiarmid received 248 votes and John Comerford received 57.
Jessica Sizer, incumbent, was elected to fill the second open seat, which is a three-year councilor at large position. Sizer received a total of 331 votes. Challenger Timothy Cienciwa was defeated, with a total of 244 votes.
Incumbent Matthew J. Lemieux ran unopposed and was re-elected to a three-year term as District 4 councilor.
Incumbents Erica Nadeau and Sandra J. Noonan were also re-elected for three-year terms on the School Committee.
Lastly, incumbents Michael Marciniec and Michael C. Dee will fill the two open seats on the Planning Board. They will both serve three-year terms.
