PALMER — Local business Soul Revival is hosting an artisan fair to bring greater attention to small shops in Palmer, owner Carrie Lavallie recently announced.
The public event will feature live music and 11 local vendors, including personal tarot card readings. It will take place at Soul Revival, located at Suite 1 of 1368 Main St., and run from 12-5 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 5, Lavallie said.
Each vendor will have their products set up at a table inside the store during both days. Tarot card reading appointments can be scheduled by contacting Soul Revival through Facebook. If there are no appointments, readings will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, Lavallie explained.
Soul Revival is “a place to build a community that supports small businesses and local artists,” Lavallie said. She emphasized how small businesses were sometimes overlooked in Palmer and that she hoped to “bring more liveliness” to the town’s center through events such as the artisan fair.
While this is the first artisan fair slated at Soul Revival, the business sponsors multiple other events, including yoga classes, meetings with psychics and reiki sessions. Soul Revival also offers a variety of products, such as jewelry from local artists, air plants and crystals, Lavallie said. The business first opened in June.
Lavallie hopes the business will provide a place for residents to be creative, stating how she was inspired to create Soul Revival after attending a women’s spiritual retreatment in 2019.
“I know a lot of people in this area need that,” she said, explaining that Soul Revival is designed to provide the support and connections of a retreat without costing thousands.
In addition to the current classes, Lavallie explained that she is also looking to hold domestic abuse circles at Soul Revival to offer even more support to residents.
