Behavioral Health Network, Inc. holds grand opening

Date: 6/15/2023

WARE — On Friday, June 9, The Behavioral Health Network’s Ware Family Resource Center opened its doors to celebrate a brand new, remodeled location, dedicated to serving the community in a variety of ways.

The new location at 78 Main St. is a spacious, welcoming environment that anyone in need of services can walk in and find help, regardless of who they are. The center provides a number of services including mental health supports, family resources, crisis help, and boasts a youth and teen center along with a children and family center as well as addiction services.

Present at the opening was Rep. Todd Smola (R-Warren), District Attorney David Sullivan, Sheriff Patrick Cahillane, DCF representatives, and BHN staff.

The center provides free support and access to community services for families and children in the area, as well as serving as a diversion from the court system for families with youth who are at risk for their behavior. The teen center in the facility is open to youth to come and hang out, play music, watch TV, socialize, and play video games, among other activities.

The FRC, previously located at a much smaller space at 78 Main St., now provides a facility with plenty of room for everyone.

Officials at the opening all commended the center on the excellent work they were doing in providing much needed services to families and youth. Staff at the FRC encouraged anyone in need of services to visit, as they have an open door policy and welcome the public to visit at will to seek help.
