Ware High looks for sponsors for upcoming golf tournament

Date: 5/4/2022

WARE – On July 23, the fourth annual Ware High Golf Tournament will be taking place at Cold Spring Country Club in Belchertown, hosted by the Ware High School Sports Boosters.

Paul Harper, co-chair of the golf tournament said, “The Ware High Athletic Boosters help to raise funds to put towards sports in Ware High School providing trophies, jackets, banners and things the school teams need throughout the year to help ease the budget of the Ware school system itself in the sports section.”

He continued, “It will be a great day of golf. There’s a great dinner after, so it’s good comradery and a chance for people to get together with fellow golfers. There’ll be an event on all the par threes on the course.”

There will be a prize winner for the first-place team, second place team and a random draw team. There will also be a putting contest between 12 and 1 p.m. A hole in one contest will be sponsored by Dan’s Oil Company with a $5,000 cash prize if someone get a hole in one, and there will be 50/50 raffles that attendees can participate in.

The Ware High Athletic Boosters are looking for tee box sponsors. Businesses can give the name of their business out on either the tee box or the green for $100 to present their business in front of the crowd.

The check-in is 12 p.m. and limited to 36 teams. The cost for a foursome including green fees, cart fees and dinner is $400. The proceeds from the event will benefit Ware High Golf and the Ware High Athletic Boosters.

They are accepting raffle prize donations from area businesses and people that might want to donate toward the raffle prizes. He noted that if someone is interested in being a sponsor or wants to buy a foursome, they can drop off or mail payment to KM Graphics 51 West St., Ware, MA 01082. Checks can be made out to Ware High School Boosters and, in the memo, write golf tournament.
