Ware Town Clerk announces election results

Date: 4/18/2022

WARE – Following the Ware town election on April 11, Town Clerk Nancy Talbot said the results have been finalized.

Only 380 of the 7,100 registered voters in town cast their ballots.
Joshua Adam Kusnierz ran unopposed and was elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen.

Incumbents Christopher T. Desjardins and Brian P. Winslow have served a number of terms and were re-elected to three-year terms on the School Committee.

Gerald Francis Fountain Jr., another incumbent, was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Assessors.

On election day, the Board of Health and Cemetery Commissioner positions were unfilled, with a write-in option. Jennifer McMartin, Board of Health incumbent, was the sole write-in. If she accepts the position, she will serve a three-year term, said Talbot.

The three-year Cemetery Commissioner will be Paul Harper, who was also a write-in.

Ryan E. Mulligan was elected to serve a three-year term as park commissioner.

Lastly, Talbot was appointed to the Planning Board as she was the only write-in. She informed Reminder Publishing that she has accepted this position.
Talbot explained that all the write-ins will have to accept their position and be sworn into office.
