WARREN – The Warren Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a purchase of equipment for the Police Department during its Jan. 5 meeting.
Police Chief Gerald Millette said, “Being a small town we do not have funds to buy a lot of the equipment we need, so they allowed the use of the ARPA [American Rescue Plan Act] funds to purchase some active shooter equipment and medical bags.”
The amount was approximately $4,000 for four dynamic entry bags and two medical bags.
Millette shared that both items are extremely useful if an incident were to occur in one of the schools. “It’s also something I hope we never have to use,” he added.
