Nason plans to continue representing Warren on Pathfinder SC

Date: 11/3/2022

WARREN – On the Nov. 8 election ballot in Warren, no candidate is listed to fill the Pathfinder Tech School Committee position, however, incumbent John Nason plans to seek reelection through write-in votes.

Superintendent Eric Duda informed Reminder Publishing that the Warren seat will be up for election next week. “My understanding is that John submitted his signatures for nomination to be on the ballot a few days after the deadline in July,” said Duda. Although Nason’s name will not appear on the election ballot, Duda said Nason has indicated that he plans to continue serving on the committee.

Nason was appointed to the Pathfinder Tech School Committee in 2021, in which he filled a vacancy. “The member who was seated for Warren moved out of the town and had to step down from the position,” explained Duda. All members of the School Committee serve four-year terms.

According to enrollment figures that Duda shared during the Oct. 19 School Committee meeting,

Pathfinder currently has 45 students from Warren, an increase from last year’s 43 and 38 in the previous year.
