A thank you

Date: 5/4/2023

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Three Truck Event at the Hampden Senior Center on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This very successful fundraiser which was held to support The Building Fund at the Senior Center was supported by The Hartsprings Foundation in West Springfield, Pro-Shred of Wilbraham and Gold Circuit E Cycling of Agawam.

Additionally a big Thanks to the volunteers from Bethlehem Church in Hampden for donating their time to us and the great help to clients with their items, lifting them from their cars and directing their donation to the correct truck. Also a special thanks to Dominick from St. Cecelia’s Church in Wilbraham for his volunteer time to us and for supporting this event as well.

The Friends of The Hampden Senior Citizens of the Senior Center provided this fundraiser to help raise funds and also to give a place for families to donate items which can no longer by used in their households. Without the participation from, Becky Moriarty, director of the Hampden Senior Center and the Friends of The Senior Center Board Members and you from Hampden and all the surrounding towns, this would not be so successful. Again, thank you.

As a reminder, the Hartsprings bin will remain in location on the Hampden Senior Center Property. Any cloth items, whether it is clothing, towels, sheets, or kitchen items, books, or the like, can be placed in the bin. No text books or encyclopedias can be taken and please, no bed pillows.

If any item cannot fit in bin and assistance is needed, please contact Joan Shea at 413-566-8224.
