| Hi - My name is Jillianne. I am the youngest of six children. I was born at 27 weeks. I am 5 1/2 years old. My first day home from Baystate Hospital after my birth, I was 9 1/2 months old. I was on the respirator for the five 8 1/2 months of my life. I am now back on the respirator at night so my airway will stay open while I sleep. I have B.P.D., which is a severe lung disease; I also have a G-tube, tracheotomy, stoniest of the airway, two Flunda placations, and gird. Due to my extensive medical problems, my mother has endured hours of medical training to be able to care for me around the clock as a single parent. I am on fourteen different medications that I must get several times daily and numerous doctor and specialist appointments each week. Due to being vented for a long time, I have suffered significant damage to my airway and lungs, and I may need a lung transplant. I now need to go to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for reconstruction of my airway, because BayState Hospital cannot perform the surgery. I need to have this benefit to cover my medical and travelling expenses for my mother, all five siblings, and me. Thank you for your support.
