I have news for both political parties, especially the Democrats. Your proposals to improve the economy will fall short of your expectations since you have not considered the most important aspect of the situation – the American public.
The American Public has a mind set to pay the least for any item they buy, whether it is the multi-millionaire, the working elite, the middle class or the poorest individual. They look for sales, deep discounts, buy-one-get-one-free deals, etc. They are not in the mindset to buy American regardless of cost.
The proposals we have heard during the debates and party conventions are to increase the minimum wage, push for cleaner air, which will require industries to spend megabucks to comply, fine businesses who do not provide medical benefits under Obamacare, continue the hundreds of regulations that are stifling our small businesses, and many other expensive requirements. This will not ensure that American companies in the U.S. will be the low cost producer.
Why do you expect the American public to buy the more expensive product? They will not.
People who make our laws must go back to the drawing board to see how you make American companies the lowest cost producers. Maybe it cannot be done. You can be sure it isn’t going to happen down the road with what has been suggested so far.
