Elm Street gets worse

Date: 8/28/2013

Drivers on Elm Street are so lucky now to have bright yellow and white lines on the roadway. While the dump trucks, trailer trucks and landscape trailers go bumpity bump, bang bang over the deteriorating road, at least now they will know where the center of the road is.

I hope the white line on the sides will make it safer for the many joggers, walkers and bicyclists who use the road. There are newer streets with much less traffic than Elm Street that have been resurfaced. Elm Street gets worse and worse and all I have heard is excuses as to why it is not fixed. I have seen lists of local towns and cities who have received federal/state aid for infrastructure work – but no mention of East Longmeadow.
