Fourth of July Parade Thanks and Category Winners

Date: 7/19/2023

First and foremost, the Parade Committee members would like to thank our community for allowing us to bring the parade to East Longmeadow annually. The viewers along the parade route clapping and shouting helped drive forth the 2023 parade theme “Let’s Celebrate”. To our advanced and military unit, performing groups, marching groups and bands and ‘car/truck’ clubs, your time and energy preparing and participating in the parade are truly appreciated. Parade marshals, float judges and banner carriers round out the group of participants on hand organizing the lining up groups into 100-plus positions and help in identifying stand out groups. Thank you for volunteering your time and energies to keeping our massive group of participants aligned – your efforts were evident to our viewers and bandshell staff of announcer, music judges and ELCAT representatives.

To our many contributors of time, resources and funding, your generosity makes the parade possible. Thanks to Custom Auto-Norris Trailers, Painted Signs, Maybury Material Handling, Charlie Arment Trucking, Lenox Stanley Black & Decker, Hampden Engineering, Donut Dip, Stop & Shop, St. Michael’s Church, The Rotary Club of East Longmeadow, Lions Club, The Scanlon Family, Town Offices of East Longmeadow and East Longmeadow Police, Fire Departments and Department of Public Works. The parade was supported in part by a grant from the East Longmeadow Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Special Thanks to ELCAT for assisting us with the sound system and recording/editing/publishing the parade. To those who dedicated time, materials and funds but did not want to be acknowledged by name, we are grateful for all that you do and honor your anonymity.

Lastly, but cannot be overlooked, thanks to our Parade Committee members for volunteering their time, expertise and determination to making the parade a great success and fond memory.
