We are so lucky to have Tom Hendrickson as an Agawam city councilor. His vote on ordinances and resolutions before the council is always measured and evidence-based, taking into careful consideration input from his constituents. Tom doesn’t mindlessly follow the herd.
Tom has a true concern for wisely spending our tax dollars, and is looking out for our pocketbooks as well. He sponsored a resolution to initiate Community Energy Aggregation, which could save money on utility bills for everyone in Agawam. Tom also supports efforts to properly maintain Agawam’s water and sewer systems to prevent the kind of costly repairs we had to do recently because prior administrations failed to keep up the infrastructure.

Tom also cares about your voice. He spoke out in defense of your voting rights when the town sought to cut in-person early voting in 2022 and eliminate mail-in voting in 2023. Tom invites input from citizens and truly listens and responds to concerns with answers and policy choices.
And beyond all that, Tom Hendrickson is a true gentleman. He often drives elderly residents to City Council meetings and assists constituents who aren’t sure where to turn on issues like how to dispose of old mattresses. We are so darn lucky to have him!
