Laughed hard

Date: 1/11/2011

I have to say that I laughed so hard and long when I read in the Springfield Republican that the Governor is reducing our legislatures annual paycheck by $300 dollars a year that I almost soiled myself.

When you break it down, it comes to to $5.76 dollars a week or, a large cup of coffee and two donuts, or better yet, is only five tenths of 1 percent. I really don't think this amount will affect their style of living. What I propose, is for the governor to cut the entire budget ( including pensions), by 10 percent and the budget will be balanced. This way everybody in state goverment feels the same pain.

Let's remember the people on Social Security did not receive a raise in 2010, nor did they receive one in 2011.
