| I grew up in Longmeadow and have fond memories of Longmeadow Days and the Lions Club parade. How sorry I am to hear that the Longmeadow Lions Club has decided to disband. I would like to thank the members of this long-serving club not only for those warm memories, but for the good example they set and the good deeds they inspired. My father, Richard Holmes, loved the Lions Club and what it stood for. The sense of community and purpose he instilled in my sisters and I have provided a framework for the type of citizen we want aspire to be in our own communities...involved, interested, responsible.
