I am very sympathetic to those who have suffered due to police brutality. However I do find some of the material that comes through the media and other sources very disturbing. There are some reactions to police brutality that imply that we simply need to remove all current police and come up with a different system of providing those services. My point is that I believe that at least 90 percent of the people who are employed as police are not complicit in the issue of brutality. As happens too often people condemn all members of an organization, a race, religious group, etc. based on the misguided actions of the few people who should not be in positions that require them to address all kinds of challenging events. Let's give credit to the vast majority of police who take pride in their work and act appropriately while continuing to deal with the issue of brutality.
