| A recent letter of mine needs correction. Not everyone in Longmeadow had a tax increase! Some "select' properties had decreases from lowered assessments. Certain people at Town Hall and elected people had large drops in assessments and their taxes. While many older homes saw a 64 percent increase in four years, many properties went down. Is this proper assessing? Is abatement denial the norm in Longmeadow? Is a total review of all assessment in order by an outsider? Joe Daly Longmeadow |
