Thank you MRHS students

Each spring, for the past nine years, the Minnechaug boys and girls track teams come to the Wilbraham Housing Authority to participate in our annual spring clean-up.

The students always arrive laughing and chatting with gloves, rakes, brooms and shovels in tow. The boys and girls on the Minnechaug track teams are at the Wilbraham Housing Authority property volunteering their time and energy and giving something back to the community where they live and go to school. Approximately 100 students, on April 21, a school vacation day, arrived at The Pines, Miles Morgan, or Falcon Knoll to participate in our annual spring clean-up. These students could have been home in bed or sitting around doing nothing.

In just a couple of hours our three elderly housing complexes were free of leaves, dead tree branches and sand in the parking lots. As proof of the Minnechaug track teams' labor and hard work, there were mountains of trash bags filled with yard debris waiting for our maintenance staff to take to the dump.

A special thank you is extended to the students on the Minnechaug boys and girls track teams for giving so generously of their time and limitless energy; all of your hard work is very much appreciated.

Thank you Coach Fenlason for being our contact person and organizing the spring clean-up all these many years. Also, thanks go out to Coaches Malvezzi, Griffin, Hill and Kline for supervising the students.

The residents living at Miles Morgan, Falcon Knoll and The Pines appreciate all that you and the Minnechaug track teams have done to make their home a more enjoyable place to live.
