In reading the Sept. 14 edition of The Reminder of the town of Longmeadow Board of Selectmen’s meeting, I have to shake my head at what are the priorities of Mr. Gold and Mr. Lachiusa? Mr. Lachiusa inferred that the Police and Fire departments could be responding to a number of calls due to alcohol being served? No one questioned him on what he based that assumption on. Do they have many calls for service at businesses in town that have alcohol licenses? Also did not realize he is an addiction counselor, maybe I shouldn’t go to Batch because ice cream can be addictive and a behavioral problem?
When will the board start to address some serious issues addressing the town versus the minutia, just like Mr. Gold worrying about what color Eversource paints the poles based on “what he said neighbors complained about decreasing property values if the poles were yellow.”
We have terrible cable service, intermittent cell service coverage in town, and serious road and drainage problems. Wake up and do what you were elected to do.
