Response to William Caplin's letter

Date: 10/30/2020

William Caplin's letter (Republican-10/29 regarding Trump) is interesting to say the least. He references things that Trump is not (i.e. politician, polished political speaker, not an "insider").  Let's talk about what Trump really is as opposed to what he is not. His denial of the seriousness of the covid virus (Don't worry about it. "It is just a hoax by the Democrats.") coupled with his total disdain of the information coming from doctors and scientists ("I know more than the doctors and the scientists.")cost tens of thousands of Americans to lose their lives. His well deserved and documented unending list of lies have made him the most proficient liar in our history. His on-going negativity towards women makes me wonder how any woman can vote for him. His insulting comments about  military leaders and veterans makes me question why anyone who is in any way associated with the military can vote for him. His determination to verbally destroy anyone who has the audacity to disagree with him and his repeated denial of things he has said on  tape, along with his total disdain for all American institutions, as well as his praise of Neo-Nazis ("There are good people" in that organization) are examples of his despicable character. I could continue to write about such things as the economy, the national debt, the unemployment rates, the destruction of small businesses, his repeated business failures, etc. but the picture is very clear. We have a man whose ego needs come way ahead of anything related to the well-being of this country. Being a Republican is one thing. Being a Trump supporter is a totally different matter.
