I had just left Baystate, where I was visiting my wife. She fell and broke her wrist and hip. It’s a chore to see her suffer like that. I was on my way to supper with a friend of my daughter, my mind was not where it should have been. I drove into what I thought was a street, but it turned out to be a long driveway.
I stopped and was getting ready to turn around when this individual came and began screaming at me. Then he pounded on my window with what he said was his badge and that he was a policeman. I was so shook up I could not find the button to open the window. I finally did, and all the time he’s screaming at me that I nearly hit him and his dog. I never saw him, and could not see the dog as my truck is high.
I offered my apology and said I was sorry upteenth times but to no avail. Then, he ordered me to give him my keys, which I did. Next he’s in front of my truck reading my plate number to the local police. Oh yes, he called the police.
Well the police came very shortly, not one but two cruisers, with a sergeant in the first one and a constable in the second one. Boy you’d think I robbed a bank or some great crime. Is this what is taught at the police academy? How this individual ever made it is beyond me.
No wonder they are shouting defund the police. I have a sticker supporting my local police on my rear window, but it came off as soon as I got home.
