Although some say my youthful visage belies my 75-plus years, I was grateful that the accumulation of three quarters of a century’s existence made me eligible for Covid 19 vaccines at the blessedly nearby East Longmeadow Senior Center! Aimee Petrosky, our hard-working, proactive Health Dept. director, and her team joined forces with Fire Chief Paul Morrissette, and Mary Beth Dowd, COA executive director to organize an efficient, professional site to effortlessly and proficiently administer both Moderna vaccines. Due to the well organized efforts of all involved, the painless inoculation process took less than a half hour to complete. I truly appreciated the ease and convenience of this important, life saving health opportunity made possible by our EL town leaders.
Kudos also to Maura Mara, EL Library Director of Adult Services, and her team for their reliable curbside pickup of the books that have helped keep us sane.
