That's what Longmeadow's Select Board is demanding from its water/sewer customers. Follow me: We have bills they sent us that are overcharged by hundreds of thousands of dollars in total. The Select Board says they will refund some portion of the money at sometime in the future. As it stands now, we must pay our incorrect overcharged bills. Then at the Town Meeting in May it will be decided how much, if any, we get back of our own money. What happens to our over-payment for these seven months? Don't we deserve to get interest on our money? (Like maybe 12 percent that they charge if it's the other way!) Sam Altman Longmeadow |
